SOFTWARE 101: Introducing Software Development Fields at the Faculty of Computers and Information

On October 20, 2025, the Faculty of Computers and Information hosted a technical session titled “SOFTWARE 101”, organized through a collaborative partnership between several student teams under the unified name ITOM.

The event represented a strong example of student collaboration, bringing together the following communities:

  • ITOM

  • ICPC Suez Canal University Community

  • TROSC

  • Octalian

  • Mish Hackers

Session Objective

The primary goal of SOFTWARE 101 was to introduce students to the different software development fields, helping them explore available career paths and identify the domain that best matches their interests and passion.

By shedding light on multiple technical tracks, the session aimed to guide students—especially beginners—toward making informed decisions about their future in technology.
